Just as crucial as the dissolution of the USSR in 1991 has been the turn that Russia has taken in February 2022. To realize the magnitude of this event, it is enough to measure the intensity of the West's reaction, which has reached an overwhelming paroxysm, with faces full of intemperate anger, which shows that the blow has been very hard, as hard as the “sanctions” that they want to give to said country. What is happening? That the world has lived for 30 years in a unipolar system with a single power that said everything, the United States, above international laws and what the United Nations dictated. The US, taking advantage of the absence of its counterpart, assumed that in the future it would be the only possible power, even giving rise to theories such as that of political scientist Francis Fukuyama that “the end of history” had arrived with the eternal prevalence of the West over everything. humanity. Of course all of this remained in the pages of the book. The reality is that during all this time the international situation was changing little by little, while the US began to show internal weaknesses and external contradictions. But at the same time that this was happening - such as the 2008 crisis, its globalization policy and the search for "cheap labor" and new markets - societies such as China and India were empowered and took advantage of these changes in capitalism. Thus, the pole of world trade, from previously being centered in Europe, has moved to Asia and has given rise to China as the great rival power, not only of the United States, but of the entire West. For years now, North America has realized the serious "mistake" that this strategy meant, something that Trump never tired of saying while he was in office when he pointed out that the only real "enemy" that the US had was China. But China, unlike the fuss that the West makes to display its power, is committed to a silent but forceful way of growing and preparing for the new role it will assume in the future (whether sharing the leadership or occupying the seat left by the West). This has not yet been manifested publicly, that is, Western populations still “do not perceive it” because their media (which are appendages of their governments and the United States) do not say it with the drama and exaggeration typical of a movie. from Hollywood. While this was happening, Russia, in the hands of Vladimir Putin (former KGB, the CIA of that country) undertook its own recovery plan to position itself in the place that this country has always occupied in the history of the planet. Let us remember that Russia, since ancient times, has been a center of civilizational development, as well as an eternal rival of the West in its expansion objectives. The times that a Western country has tried to subdue Russia (such as France and Germany) it has failed miserably. The last attempt was that of the most powerful army in recorded history: Hitler's, expressly armed with the aim of destroying Russia and its communism, which was defeated at a very high cost of lives. Such was the humiliation for the West that the US had to intervene only at the end to “save” Europe from the Red Army that had already reached Berlin and had finished off the Nazis. The defeat of the West against the Soviets led to what is known as the Cold War, which was the division of the world between two factions: the West and communist Russia. This lasted 70 years until communism, a product of its own weakness, lost power in Russia and was taken over by the right, returning the country to its usual path of being capitalist and nationalist. This was taken by the West as a triumph, not only over communism, but over old Russia, which they began to see as “a second-order power.” But this was a serious mistake because Russia, with or without communism, will always be a power impossible for the West to defeat, something that Putin has just demonstrated by showing them his teeth previously sharpened during these decades. That is, the West underestimated Russia and did not realize its advances in the military aspect. It is currently known that its firepower and destruction power is far superior to that of the US and its European counterparts. If a war breaks out, as things stand, the victory would be Russia because it has nuclear technological development that is impossible to stop. The US has urged its arms companies to catch up as soon as possible by allocating billions from the national budget, but this will take approximately two to three years. Putin obviously knows this, so he has no fear of threatening the West if he attempted any response to his decision to invade Ukraine in order to place said country as a “neutral territory” where NATO cannot place any military piece. Russia's immense oil and gas production will further fuel the Chinese machine instead of maintaining Europe's weak and decadent state. It will have to live off what the US sells it under the conditions it demands, making the old continent even more painful, weak and dependent. The Europeans will become soldiers for the United States who will not care about their needs or interests. This will mean the end of the West as a leading power and as synonymous with world civilization. Only the US will survive, but to try not to be overtaken by the coalition of China, Russia and India, the latter very silent but which in a very short time will make its political and economic weight noticeable. In conclusion, we have definitely entered a multipolar era again, where not only the West will have the power of decision and judgment but it will be the emerging powers, Russia, China and India, that will try to act based on their geopolitical needs and interests. . This is very important because, after Ukraine, what is coming is the war over Taiwan, where the US is doing the same: arming it against China's geopolitical interests, which will inevitably cause it to intervene on the island, invading it. . This is the scenario that the great North American war companies seek: war, their food and their way of life. Without wars, the US becomes paralyzed and ceases to be the great power that it continues to be until now, although not for long.
