Hassan Nasrallah was the leader of the armed political organization Hezbollah in Lebanon. His leadership lasted more than three decades, consecrated as the organization's top leader. This Friday, September 27, he was killed in intense air attacks carried out by Israeli forces on the headquarters located in Beirut. He died at 64 years of age. Along with him, other leaders of the organization perished. So far, the organization has not announced his successor.
Nasrallah was the top leader of Hezbollah since 1992, 32 years ago. He spent practically half his life serving his political organization. He died in the same manner as his predecessor after being hit by an Israeli rocket. His death marks an unyielding point in the war between Israel and Lebanon.
Nasrallag became popular among the Lebanese population, in the guerrilla war fighting that lasted for years until they managed to get the Israeli army to abandon the strip of southern Lebanon that they invaded in 1982.
